Food as Medicine - Pathway to IANE membership
2023 course offerings are under review
The Monash University suite of Food as Medicine courses are recognised by NNEdPro Global Centre for Nutrition and Health, as a pathway for doctors and other healthcare professionals to enter their International Academy of Nutrition Educators (IANE) .
NNEdPro is a Global Centre for Nutrition and Health anchored at the University of Cambridge, working to improve nutrition-related health outcomes for patients by providing relevant, up-to-date and nuanced training and support to healthcare professionals in the areas of food, nutrition and health.
NNEdPro has partnered with Monash University and the Society of Nutrition Education and Behaviour (SNEB) to launch a new International Academy of Nutrition Educators (IANE) Membership Scheme.
Completion of “Food as Medicine” courses from Monash enables doctors and healthcare professionals to apply for membership of IANE.
Membership gives access to a global network of medical nutrition experts and knowledge symposia, bespoke support and mentorship to implement nutrition into practice, and opportunities to participate in public health nutrition advocacy initiatives through NNEdPro’s partnership with governmental and non-governmental organisations.
Completion of these courses will also enable interested professionals to apply for SNEB membership at discounted rates. The SNEB, based in the United States, promotes effective nutrition education and communication to improve healthful behaviours in the community through nutrition education and advocacy.
This collaboration will provide increased access to nutrition education for doctors and healthcare professionals and continue to raise awareness about the critical role of nutrition in health.
What are the Requirements to apply for membership of IANE?
