Department of Forensic Medicine
We use medical and coronial data to learn valuable lessons about preventable deaths, injuries, and violence in the community. Our remit includes the prevention of family violence and femicide, and training healthcare providers to improve care for those affected by sexual violence.

Our extensive national research program generates evidence to support recommendations aimed at improving awareness, availability and access to high-quality sexual and reproductive health care for all Australian women.

We aim to improve health equity for women and girls around the world. We explore the physical, mental, cultural, and societal issues that impact women’s health, across adolescence, sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy, early parenting, and healthy ageing.
