MBI acquired two state-of-the-art BOLDscreens in 2024, featuring cutting-edge MRI-compatible technology. These screens offer significant advancements over previous technology. The BOLDscreens are located at our Clayton site.
Benefits of using the BOLDscreen:
- Larger Display: With a diameter of 32 inches compared to the previous screens of 21 inches and 23 inches.
- Enhanced Resolution: Equipped with 4K Ultra High Definition LCD displays boasting a resolution of 3840x2160, a notable improvement from the previous resolution of 1920 x 1080 RGB.
- Improved Contrast Ratio: Featuring a contrast ratio of 3000:1, a substantial upgrade from the previous ratios of 1000:1 and 1400:1. This improvement ensures a much more clearer distinction between the brightest white and the darkest black.
- Expanded Integration Capability: New model seamlessly integrates with an Audio-visual hub, allowing easy connectivity via USB-C, display port, or HDMI ports. This versatility allows users to connect external monitors, a feature previously unavailable due to the absence of a hub. Additionally, the previous connection was limited to PCs via DVI, excluding laptops from compatibility.
