Accessing Monash ePortfolio after completing your course
When you complete your studies or finish a unit at Monash, your access to Moodle units changes. However, you retain access to your Monash ePortfolio so you may continue building your portfolio, sharing evidence with accreditation bodies, or downloading your work.
How to access ePortfolio as a past student
Once you lose access to your unit's Moodle page, the direct link inside Moodle will no longer work. You can log into ePortfolio directly using the web address:
- Go directly to eportfolio.monash.edu.
- Log in using your standard Monash student email and password (Okta Single Sign-On).
Note:Do not attempt to access ePortfolio via old Moodle unit links, as you will see an "Activity Hidden" message once Moodle unit access expires. Always use the direct URL above. |
Duration of access
Your ePortfolio access aligns with Monash University's account retention policy for Google Workspace and Web Enrolment System (WES):
- 12 Months Post-Completion: You maintain full access to view, edit, create and share your portfolio pages and collections for 12 months after your official course completion date.
- Full Functionality: You retain the same rights as an active student, including updating content, generating secret URLs for prospective employers and fulfilling professional registration/accreditation requirements.
Exporting your portfolio for permanent keeping
We strongly recommend exporting a copy of your entire portfolio before your 12 month access period ends.
How to export:
- Log into eportfolio.monash.edu.
- Click the User Menu (top right icon) and select Settings, then Export (or navigate to Portfolios > Export).
- Choose your export format:
- Standalone HTML website: Best for viewing and presenting your portfolio offline without an active account.
- Leap2A: Best if you plan to import your portfolio into another Mahara instance or compatible ePortfolio platform in the future.
- Click Generate export and save the file to your personal storage device.
