Submit

You can use the file submissions box to upload a video file directly to Moodle just like for your other assessments. To submit your video:

1. You can ‘drag and drop’ files to add them, or click the Add icon  then Browse to locate the video and Upload the file.
2. Once uploaded click Save changes to continue with the assessment submission process.

1. Click on the Panopto icon  at the top of the text editor and either:
   • Click Choose to select a previously recorded video already uploaded to Panopto, or
   • Click Upload to select a file to upload from your computer, or
   • Click Record to record a new video during the submission process.
2. After you have selected, uploaded, or recorded your video, click Insert to embed the video into the online text box.
3. Once your video is visible in the text box click Save changes to continue with the assessment submission process.

If you Record a video, you will be directed to choose from the in-browser recorder or the Panopto app. The in-browser recorder will open in a new tab. Once you have completed recording in the app or in-browser recorder, your video should show up in the original browser window for your assessment (see image above).

If you have accidentally refreshed the assessment browser window or closed and then reopened it while using the record upload option, your video will no longer show up under Record. Instead, you will need to select it from the Choose option.

1. First, upload your video to an online hosting service such as Panopto, Google Drive, or YouTube, then once it is uploaded copy the sharing link.
   • In Panopto, the sharing link is accessible by clicking on the button  from the list view in the Panopto folder, or clicking on the  icon at the top-right corner of the page while viewing the video.
   • In Google Drive, the sharing link is accessible by right-clicking on the video in the folder and selecting  from the pop-up menu.
   • In YouTube, the sharing link is accessible by clicking on the  button beneath the video.
2. Paste the sharing link directly into the online text box of your assessment, and click Save changes to continue with the assessment submission process.
