Logging Continuous Professional Development activities
As part of your studies you may be required to undertake CPD. You may be asked to log these using the Monash ePortfolio platform. The video below demonstrates how to do this.
- You can log your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in two ways:
- Via the main menu: Click the top-right menu icon, expand Create, and select CPD. Click +New Activity on the CPD Activities page (where you can also edit or delete past logs).
- Directly on a portfolio page: On a page featuring a CPD block, click the Details icon to turn on Quick Edit, then click the Plus icon.
- Complete the Activity log fields for your entry:
- Activity name: Enter a meaningful title.
- Experience: Select the relevant CPD Experience, category, and subcategory from the dropdowns.
- Hours: Enter the duration using numerical decimal format (e.g., enter 2.5 for two and a half hours).
- Dates / Location / Organisation: Select the start and end dates, and enter where the activity took place and who hosted it.
- Contact Details: Enter the contact information of someone at the organisation who can verify your participation (Compulsory field).
- Description / Reflection / Files: Add an optional summary, write a reflection, upload supporting evidence files, or add tags.
- Click Save activity to complete your log.
- Track your progress: If your teacher has included a CPD overview on your portfolio page, you can review your total logged hours and compulsory reflections there.
- Add the tracker to your dashboard: To monitor your progress from your landing page, scroll down on your dashboard and click Edit dashboard. Click Show more, select the CPD experience overview tile, choose your specific CPD experience from the dropdown, and click Save.
