Commonwealth legislation

The Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) and the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS) are two higher education-specific pieces of federal legislation that apply to Monash University students.

Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA)

HESA applies to both domestic and international students and is also the legislation that sets out the requirements for government loans schemes such as HECS-HELP and FEE-HELP.
