MPC provides a range of evidence-based psychological services to the community.

MPC also provides comprehensive training to the next generation of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology practitioners through the Doctor of Psychology programs.

Our clinicians work with Turner institute researchers to ensure rapid translation of the latest findings into improvements in the assessment, treatment, and prevention of mental health and brain disorders.

Clients may be invited to participate in research projects.

The MPC encompasses:

  • The Clinical Psychology service — This service provides assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioural problems such as grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression, relationship issues, and developmental difficulties.
  • The Neurosychology service — This service provides assessment and treatment of brain impairment associated with conditions such as developmental and learning difficulties, dementia, stroke and traumatic brain injury.
  • MPC specialty clinics — MPC excels in the study and treatment of anxiety and depression, concussion, and sleep and memory difficulties. To provide clients access to clinical services that are informed by the latest findings, MPC runs specialist clinics in these areas. MPC runs specialist clinics in these areas.

You are welcome to call the clinic directly. You can also be referred by your doctor, allied health professional or community agency. A Mental Health Care Plan is not required. At MPC you can access low-cost psychology services, including a sliding scale fee structure for low income and concession card holders ranging from $20.00 - $60.00 per session. Fees for assessments requiring a written report such as neuropsychology assessments range from $200-$600.  Fees for organisations, consultation and training are available on request and subject to GST. Medicare and health fund rebates are not available in training clinics.


Limited free parking is available in the "yellow" zones outside the MPC. Car park passes are available from the MPC front reception desk. Please allow sufficient time prior to your appointment to collect a pass and park your car. Pay Parking is available in the commercial car park at 264 Ferntree Gully Road, next door to the MPC.

Available bus routes: 742 and 693 (from Oakleigh station), 733 (from Clayton station) and 742 (from Glen Waverley station).

Crisis Information

Clinics cannot provide crisis services. If you or someone you know is in need of immediate psychological assistance, please attend your local hospital emergency department or contact one of the following services, which are open 24 hours a day.
