Monash TeleNeuropsychology Service (MTNS) brings telehealth assessment and services for brain injury and stroke rehabilitation to rural communities.

Our services are designed to support individuals through hospitals and health care providers. We cannot provide clinical assistance for individuals without the support of their health care providers.
We seek to support
Those with acquired brain injury and related symptoms who could benefit from portable, online services, for example, those in rural areas who could not otherwise reach traditional assessment and therapy services. Our service is currently focussed on supporting rural inpatient neurorehabilitation wards.
Our clinic is designed to support hospitals and health care providers. We cannot assist individuals.
Cost of service
No cost to the user, our service is funded by external grants from providers such as the Department of Health and Human Services and Rural Health Service.
Types of Assessment used
We use a computerised tool that harnesses traditional questionnaires, interview assessment strategies, and clinical neuropsychology assessment via the TeleHealth Service.
Types of Treatment used
We use a tailored combination of scientifically proven methods of therapy including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling, Cognitive Rehabilitation services, behavioural management, and additional clinician education.
