When you live on campus, you’ll join the wider MRS community. You’ll also become part of your smaller hall community, supported by your College Head, Deputy College Head, Residential Support Assistant and Resident Advisors who together make up the Residential Support Team.
The overall aim of the Residential Support Team is to create a positive environment where residents are supported and support each other and benefit from the range of personal development opportunities.
The Residential Support Team get to know every resident as an individual and really celebrate the diversity of our residents.

"Being in isolation as a result of being tested for COVID-19 is not an ideal situation. However, MRS provided significant support when I was required to isolate from other residents this year.
I received a care package with daily necessities, such as wipes and garbage bags as well as information about the isolation process and contact details for support services. Additionally, I received a small breakfast food pack which helped me to know that people were looking out for me. I could also order precooked meals from Halls Café for delivery to me, as well as have my rubbish collected from outside my room as required. Moreover, I was able to order groceries from a select range for delivery if I needed anything throughout the isolation period.
Within my hall, the RSTO were supportive throughout the isolation process and were available for contact if required. Even though I was isolating, it was still very easy to access my university classes and participate fully, as they were all held online. Similarly, communicating with my friends and family was easy as I could video call them.
Overall, the support of MRS and the RSTO made what could have been a very difficult time, very comfortable and I felt that I was supported throughout the isolation experience."
