Amos
About Amos
AMOS is an extension of SPSS that is used for structural equation modelling, path analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. AMOS is a visual-based program meaning you draw models graphically using simple drawing tools.
Accessing and using Amos
Amos is accessed via the Virtual Laboratory (vLab). For instructions how to access the vLab, head to the vLab page here.
First-time users
If you have never used Amos before or conducted analysis requiring multi-level modelling then it is highly recommended that you take a close look at some of the beginner resources below. Amos is not intuitive and requires a little know-how before it can be used sufficiently. Amos uses SPSS data files for its analysis.
The video below (5:30") demonstrates the most basic uses of AMOS (and SPSS), using a simple linear regression for the example.
