Information sessions
The first step to take when considering a global experience is to attend a Monash Abroad First Steps session. At this session we’ll cover
- types of programs available
- whether you are eligible
- how to register for semester exchange and study abroad
- how you can finance your trip
Attending one of these sessions is a requirement if you plan to submit an application for semester exchange or study abroad, and is also a useful place to start for information on other global experiences, such as short study tours or summer and winter schools. Keep in mind that attendance at a First Steps session is also a pre-requisite for booking a one-on-one appointment with a Monash Abroad International Education Coordinator.
To book in for an event, please register via the Monash Abroad booking system.
In addition to weekly First Step sessions, there are country, faculty and occasionally institution-specific information sessions offered at times during semester. If after attending a First Steps session you need more advice, you can attend an Open Advising Session, where our student peers can provide application assistance, including assistance searching for unit outlines (syllabi) to support your study plan (if going on semester exchange).
If you're a Monash Malaysia student you should speak to your local Monash Abroad advisor to help answer your questions.
