Assessment Criteria

A limited number of grants up to $6,000 each are available to Monash University students for a selection of undergraduate Global Study Tours and Language Intensive Programs. These grants are awarded on the basis of the number of available grants.

If the number of available grants are less than the number of eligible students on a NCP funded program, students are selected on evaluation of their personal statement (if this was part of the program selection), on academic merit (the WAM in the student’s current degree at the time of being accepted into the program) and equity indicators.

Only successful recipients are notified by Monash Abroad if they are selected to receive a grant via email after they have been accepted into the Global Study Tour or Language Intensive Program. You must accept the grant and complete all the required Monash Abroad and DFAT requirements to receive payment.

When all these requirements are met, payment will be scheduled in the next available payment cycle. This is likely to occur approximately 4 weeks before your program start date.
