Research overview

The Cao Group builds medical artificial general & superintelligence to push the frontiers of medical knowledge and make world-class healthcare available for all. Our current focus is on state-of-the-art LLMs (e.g. reasoning models and medical AI agents). We love to collaborate with forward-thinking clinicians and engineers on projects & startups which can lead to real-world clinical impact.

We are a tight-knit, high-agency and high-curiosity team. Most of our team members are trained in both medicine and engineering, with many trained at Stanford University. The lab is directed by Khoa N. Cao, an Associate Professor of Medicine & Engineering and alumni of Monash Medicine and Stanford Engineering.

Whether you want to be involved in our research, study with us, collaborate with us or donate to our work, we would be delighted to hear from you. Email us at khoa.cao@monash.edu
