Fluorescent tools for super-resolution imaging

Research in the Kaur Group is focussed on the development of cutting-edge molecular imaging tools that allow us to visualise the biological world inside us. Applicable in Nobel Prize-winning super-resolution imaging, we develop fluorescent sensors that provide unprecedented access to the alien world of the extraordinarily small, revealing intricate details of biochemical interactions impossible to discern using conventional imaging methods.

Broadly, research projects in the Kaur group include:

  • Photoswitchable fluorescent probes
  • Fluorescent sensors for nanoscale imaging of protein aggregates
  • Sensing platforms for amyloid microenvironments

Opportunities for PhD and Honours students to join the group are available. Please contact Amandeep to find out more and discuss the project.
