mRNA Core

Developing the mRNA technologies of the future

mRNA Core is a collaborative initiative to advance the next generation of mRNA. Based at MIPS and currently funded by an MRFF mRNA Clinical Trials Enabling Grant and NCRIS, the facility is one of the four national nodes of the RNA Products division of Therapeutic Innovation Australia (TIA) and played a key role in developing Australia’s first mRNA clinical product (a COVID-19 vaccine).

Staffed by an innovative team with deep expertise in pharmaceutical development, mRNA Core is one of Australia’s leading mRNA production groups since 2017. The initiative provides >20 active research collaborators and commercial clients with bespoke native, chemically modified and formulated mRNA and expertise towards proof-of-concept preclinical studies across diverse applications.
