VMIH

Uniting mRNA experts across four nodes: MIPS, Doherty Institute, BDI, and the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Engineering and IT

The VMIH seeks to develop novel technologies to support the discovery of mRNA therapeutics and vaccines. Our efforts are focussed equally on the development of RNA technologies and methods of manufacture and novel mRNA delivery modalities.

Headquartered at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Victorian mRNA Innovation Hub is a collaborative partnership between the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute, the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, and the University of Melbourne's Department of Chemical Engineering. The Hub was established with support from the Victorian State Government and mRNA Victoria.

The VMIH research program is based around two complementary streams: next-generation RNA therapeutics and next-generation nanoparticle delivery systems. Collectively these streams work together to create innovative technologies that form the foundation of next-generation mRNA therapeutics.
