Closing the Loop Indonesia Study Tour
Closing the Loop Indonesia Study Tour
Closing the Loop is a 15-day Winter Intensive (6pts) running June/July 2026 that takes students to Bali and Makassar to work directly with communities facing the pressures of climate change and rapid urbanisation.
The studio introduces you to real-world environmental challenges through partnerships with local organisations, universities and the RISE program. You will map how water, waste, materials and people move through urban landscapes and natural systems, study nature-based and community-led infrastructure, and develop the place-based analytical skills relevant to climate-adaptive design. The unit is collaborative across the faculty and offers a rare opportunity to learn in the field while engaging with practitioners working at the forefront of urban and environmental change.
