This unit may count as a capstone or an elective unit in your undergraduate or graduate degree.
Selected students will be enrolled in unit BEX3724 or BEX5724 for the T3-57 teaching period. This unit may count towards your postgraduate or undergraduate degree as a major, capstone, or elective unit.
This program, co-designed and delivered by Monash Business School and Singapore Management University (SMU), offers students a unique opportunity to collaborate across cultures.
Over two consecutive weeks, participants from both universities will travel to Singapore and Melbourne, engaging in a cross-cultural consumer research project aimed at:
- Identifying Cultural Influences: Exploring how cultural backgrounds shape purchasing behaviour, brand loyalty, and consumer expectations.
- Informing Business Strategies: Providing actionable insights for businesses to adapt their products, services, and marketing strategies for diverse markets.
- Highlighting Regional Trends: Analysing emerging trends such as sustainability, digital commerce behaviours, and product design preferences in different cultural contexts.
Through a mix of in-class seminars, company visits in both cities, and cultural activities, students will enhance their global perspective while building their professional network. Participants will collaborate on team projects, working alongside peers from SMU and Monash Business School over the course of this dynamic program.
Students are required to attend a one hour pre-departure session.
