The University of Indonesia, (UI) is one of the oldest state universities in Indonesia, and has two main campuses in Jakarta and Depok.

The Depok campus is situated on 312 hectares of greenery, with over 75 hectares dedicated to beautiful forest.

Academic Restrictions
Units from Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy are not open to exchange students.

Accommodation
University accommodation is available but cannot be guaranteed. The International Office will assist you in finding off-campus accommodation if required.

Visas
All exchange students must apply for a “limited stay” visa once they have been accepted for exchange and issued their study permit. Monash Abroad can only provide general information - always check with the relevant consular/Embassy and consider advice that is right for you.

Health and insurance
UI has a health centre on campus which provides free health services for all UI students. More information here.
When travelling on a Monash Abroad approved program, you are automatically covered under the Monash University Student Travel Insurance policy. This will provide cover to and from your exchange.

Funding
If you are studying the Indonesian language, you may be able to apply for the Walter Mangold Study Abroad Scholarship or the Hamer Scholarships Program. Funding is also available through the Australian Government's New Colombo Plan Scholarship.
