University of New Caledonia

The University of New Caledonia (UNC) is a French university dedicated to the development of New Caledonia and beyond the Pacific region. Its roots go back to 1987 with the creation of the French University of the Pacific, co-located in French Polynesia, and it became autonomous in 1999. It guarantees a French presence in the domains of higher education and research and contributes to the promotion of French speaking in the region.

Academic Highlights

A uniquely French university experience in the heart of the Pacific, the UNC focuses on the areas of Law, Economics and Management; Literature, Languages and Social Sciences; and Science and Technology. It adheres to the European LMD system, which guarantees the quality of teaching according to a standard shared by the majority of universities of Europe.
