The University of Ottawa, often referred to as uOttawa or U of O, is a leading international centre of management education and research. Located in the heart of Canada’s national capital, it is the world’s largest bilingual university where students may study in English, French or both languages.
Academic Highlights
The Telfer School of Management is one of only a few schools in North America with triple crown accreditation for business schools: AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. It houses the IBM Centre for Business Analytics and Performance among its various research centres.
Location
The main campus is located on 42.5 hectares (105 acres) in the heart of Ottawa's Downtown Core (CBD). The main campus is bordered to the north by the ByWard Market district, to the east by Sandy Hill's residential area, and to the southwest by Nicholas Street, which runs adjacent to the Rideau Canal on the western half of the University.

Accommodation
On-campus accommodation in residences is available to exchange students, but is not guaranteed as there is limited spaces and they are offered on a first come, first served basis. You are advised to schedule your arrival in mid-August (fall semester) and early January (winter semester) to find off-campus housing. The average price for an unfurnished one bedroom apartment in Ottawa ranges from C$650 to C$1,000, per month. View the University's Housing Service pages for more information.
Visas
As a general rule, Australian citizens do not need a study permit if they plan to participate in a university exchange program in Canada that lasts six months or less. However, every Australian citizen entering Canada for less than six months will still require an eTA which can be purchased online. Important notes
The University of Ottawa - Telfer School of Management only accepts exchange applications in March for both semesters. This means that students can only apply for exchanges commencing in Monash semester two.
