A celebration in honour of our future

Guests at the annual Matheson Society lunch
Professor Arthur Christopoulos, Dean of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and guests.

It was wonderful to celebrate Monash University bequestors, with our annual Matheson Society lunch held in April 2024. The Matheson Society honours and recognises those who have left a gift in their Will, and it was a beautiful afternoon recognising the important role of philanthropy and the impact of bequests at Monash University.

Professor Sharon Pickering, Vice-Chancellor and President, inspired us with her vision and passion. We also had the pleasure of an informative and impactful presentation on the Monash Virtual School – an amazing Monash initiative educating students, from regional areas to war zones.

It was a truly celebratory occasion as we came together, friends old and new, with so many inspiring stories shared amongst us all. It is fascinating to think of the combined impact all the people in the room will have, and how they are all making such an indelible difference with their future gift of impact and change.

We are just so grateful to the many bequestors of Monash, including those who came to our Matheson Society lunch, who understand the impact of a future gift in their Will. Their legacy will most certainly live long into the future for generations to come at Monash. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in 2025.
