Aichiro Suryo Prabowo is an Assistant Professor at Monash University, Indonesia. His research integrates sustainability principles into public budgeting and finance. Specifically, his intellectual inquiry explores mechanisms through which the government can address environmental sustainability without sacrificing fiscal sustainability. Beyond academia, he has consulted for the World Bank headquarters in Washington DC on fiscal and climate policies in Nigeria and the EU, and previously served as an Associate Director at Indonesia's Presidential Office (UKP4).

At Monash, Dr. Suryo Prabowo teaches courses in the Master of Public Policy and Management and the Master of Sustainability programs. Prior to this, he was a Southeast Asia Program (SEAP) Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University, where he developed and taught a graduate course on Sustainable Finance at the Brooks School of Public Policy. He received his PhD in Policy Studies from the University of Maryland-College Park, where he also taught Public Economics and Public Budgeting and Financial Management, and his MPP from the University of Chicago.
