LPDP Scholarship
LPDP Scholarship
The LPDP scholarship, provided by the Indonesian government through Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) or Endowment Fund for Education Agency, is a prestigious scholarship program that aims to support outstanding individuals in pursuing their education at reputable universities, both within Indonesia and abroad.
The LPDP scholarship is a testament to the Indonesian government's commitment to investing in human capital and fostering the next generation of leaders. It offers an exceptional opportunity for Indonesian students to pursue their educational aspirations, gain valuable international exposure, and contribute to the progress and development of Indonesia.
Monash University, Indonesia takes great pride in being listed as one of the universities on the LPDP domestic university list (Daftar Perguruan Tinggi Tujuan Dalam Negeri). This signifies that our institution is recognized by the LPDP scholarship program as a reputable and esteemed educational institution.
All of our master’s and PhD programs are listed under the LPDP scholarship. These programs provide opportunities for students to pursue their academic goals and contribute to their respective fields of study. Visit our Master dan PhD pages to learn more our programs.
What’s New in LPDP 2026?
This year marks one of the biggest structural changes in LPDP history. The program is no longer just about "getting into top-ranked schools"; it is about "filling the gaps in national industries."
1. The STEM and SHARE Division
The scholarship is now categorized into two primary pathways:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics): This is the high-priority track. Approximately 80% of the quota (around 3,200 seats) is allocated here to support 8 strategic industries: Energy, Defense, Digitalization (AI & Semiconductors), Health, Food Security, Maritime, Downstreaming/Industrialization, and Advanced Manufacturing. Learn more the booklet for STEM.
SHARE (Social, Humanities, Arts, Religious Studies, Economics): This pathway focuses on social impact and human development. While still robust, the selection is more specific to how these fields will support the national economy and social fabric. Learn more the booklet for SHARE.
2. Major Quota Increase
The total quota for 2026 has been increased to 5,750 awardees (up from 4,000 in previous years).
- 4,000 seats for Master's (S2) and Doctoral (S3) programs.
- 1,000 seats for the new Beasiswa Garuda (S1/Undergraduate program for top high school graduates).
- 750 seats specifically for Medical Specialists and Sub-specialists.
3. From "PTUD" to "Universitas Unggulan"
The "World Top Universities" (PTUD) program has evolved. Instead of just looking at general world rankings (like Ivy League or Oxbridge), LPDP now prioritizes Universitas Unggulan—universities that are specifically excellent in the applicant's chosen field of study, even if they aren't the most "famous" overall.
4. Digital Integration (No More Manual Verification)
The application portal is now integrated with PDDikti and the Satusehat app. Your degree status, GPA, and health certificates (including drug-free status) are validated automatically via your NIK, reducing manual document errors.
