Our scholars
Bringing together professional expertise from the energy sector and strong research capabilities, the nine scholars are undertaking PhD research that addresses key challenges in Indonesia’s clean energy transition, whilst fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration with our Australian counterparts.
The selection process
Nine fully funded PhD scholarships were offered through the Ariel Liebman RACE for 2030 Monash Indonesia PhD Program, in partnership with PT PLN (Persero). The nine scholars were selected from a highly competitive pool of high-performing employees from PT PLN (Persero) and its subsidiary enterprises.
The selection involved a rigorous, multi-stage process, beginning at the PLN level, followed by administrative, academic and interview assessments at Monash University Indonesia, before progressing to assessment by the respective faculties and further review by the Monash Graduate Research Office in Australia.
