Yessy is an Associate Professor in Business and Economics at Monash University, Indonesia. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Commerce with a specialisation in Finance from the University of Melbourne. Before joining Monash University, Indonesia, Yessy was a Senior Lecturer and the first Head for the Department of Finance at Monash University, Malaysia School of Business.

Yessy is an award-winning educator with diverse teaching experience in Indonesia, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia. He taught Financial Management related units at under- and post-graduate levels and is a proponent of active learning. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education from Monash University, Malaysia. You can find his latest work on the implementation of Collaborative Active Learning here.

Yessy worked with a self-managed pension administrator during his appointment as a Research Associate at the University of Adelaide’s International Centre for Financial Services (ICFS). As a Research Associate, Yessy conducted a study on customer satisfaction in the financial planning industry in Australia. Yessy’s research focuses on market microstructure (i.e. the process of trading in the financial markets), foreign investors' behaviour and its impact on emerging markets, corporate finance and personal finance.
