What is the different between masterclass and class simulation?
Masterclass is a one-hour specially designed session for students who would like to have an in-depth and more comprehensive discussion about a specific field or topic. The session is open for public and will be led by our key academics in the field of their expertise.
Meanwhile,class simulation is dedicated session tailored for prospective students who have submitted applications to the esteemed Master's program at Monash University, Indonesia. This unique opportunity allows participants to gain firsthand experience of the workings of master's program classes, providing valuable insights into the academic environment and instructional methodologies.
In addition, the prospective students will have chance to meet and establish valuable connections with our current students, fostering valuable networking experiences.

Credible Creativity: From Urban Analytics to Design Actions
This interactive session guides participants through the fundamentals of evidence-based urban analysis before moving beyond traditional design approaches to think critically about how data analytics, spatial technologies, and causal reasoning can inform sustainable, equitable, and climate-resilient urban interventions.
Drawing from the substantive learning materials in the Master of Urban Design program, this session will immerse participants in the universe of dynamic, continuously evolving urban frontiers such as transit-oriented futures, the 15-minute city, and low-carbon precincts, and the role of data-driven urban design in catalyzing analytics into action, empowering urban professionals, development practitioners, and city-makers to build thriving communities.

Join us for an insightful masterclass exploring how urban analytics is transforming contemporary and emerging city-making practices. Learn how the increasing availability of data and computational methods are enabling evidence-informed design decisions.
We will examine practical applications including Nusantara's 10-minute city concept, Transit-Oriented Development in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area, and advanced urban form analysis techniques that are shaping the future of our cities.
