Book production team meeting for the Kupang, Makassar and Lombok story
The book production team holds weekly Zoom meetings to develop the Makassar children’s story "Sari and the Changing Sea," joined by local reviewers Mr. Ihzan (PERDIK) and Ms. Indy from the local community
Congratulations on the completion of our children's books—Level A and B—from Kupang: Omi, Ubi and Gratitude. The books are currently in the registration process. Thank you to Mr. Nur Syarif Ramadhan who helps us with image descriptions for our current Omi, Ubi and Gratitude books to ensure the books are accessible for all. Thank you to all MoFCREC team members who have contributed and reviewed the books. We are also excited to be working on a new children’s book inspired by stories of climate resilience from Makassar and Lombok!
Our book production team continues to make steady progress through weekly Zoom meetings with our book producer and authors, Oni and Yoel from Yayasan Tunas Aksara. Together, we are developing and finalising the Makassar children's story, "Sari and the Changing Sea." The project has now entered the illustration stage.
We will soon be reaching out via email to invite your feedback on the story—so stay tuned!
Throughout the development process, we have actively involved two local reviewers—Mr Ihzan from PERDIK and Ms Indy from the local community—who have provided valuable insights and feedback from the very beginning. This collaborative approach has greatly enriched the story and ensured its local relevance. This marks an exciting milestone for the team as we move closer to completing the book.
