Jakarta – On Thursday, 15 May 2025, Monash University welcomed 143 Indonesian alumni to the Alumni Insight Series, a program designed to connect alumni through expert-led discussions on key national issues. This edition focused on the evolving financial landscape in Indonesia, particularly the challenges and opportunities within the financial sectors.

- Daud Sijabat, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs & Conduct Compliance at PT Bank HSBC Indonesia
- Biger Adzanna Maghribi, Executive Analyst (Deputy Director) at the Office of the Chairman, Indonesia Financial Services Authority (FSA)
The discussion was moderated by Luthfyana Larasati, Manager of Climate Finance at the Climate Policy Initiative, and offered practical strategies to build financial sector resilience.

Participants explored how Indonesia’s financial sector can respond to global and domestic challenges, such as economic slowdowns, fluctuating commodity prices, and political uncertainty by adopting more resilient strategies. These include diversifying portfolios, leveraging technology, staying agile in response to market shifts, and embracing sustainable finance.
