Kalbe Continues Collaboration with Monash University, Indonesia, Enhancing Management Expertise

Melbourne, 2 October 2023 - PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) is continuing its collaboration with Monash University, Indonesia. This collaboration aims to enhance global business competencies and facilitate triple helix collaboration (government, academia, and industry) through the General Management Program. This program is a general management program designed to prepare the next generation of 26 Kalbe Group leaders.

Under the coordination of the Master of Business Innovation at Monash University, Indonesia, in collaboration with the School of Pharmacy in Melbourne, this top training program bridges theory and practice in Indonesia and Australia, which is relevant to Kalbe in accordance with the values of Panca Sradha.

In addition to conducting a series of training programs in Indonesia, benchmarking visits to Melbourne are also carried out. This visit includes industrial visits, executive education sessions, and discussions with key stakeholders. The visit is facilitated by Dr. Harriman Saragih, Course Coordinator of the Master of Business Innovation at Monash University, Indonesia; and Professor Edward Buckingham, Course Director of the Master of Business Innovation at Monash University, Melbourne.

The Kalbe Farma delegation engaged with various stakeholders during the visit. They gained insights into cutting-edge technologies, innovative business practices, and consistent sustainability initiatives that are transforming the industry. They also gained in-depth insights into the impact of Monash Pharmacy in the global pharmaceutical landscape.

One of the highlights of this visit was a presentation providing insights from the Australia Indonesia Business Council, delivered by Dr. Jeff Parker, and the Indonesian Consulate General in Melbourne, Coordinator of the Economic Consul, Jani Mediawati. Both sessions underlined the business relationships between Australia and Indonesia, particularly in the healthcare sector, offering valuable perspectives for future collaborations.
