Monash University, Indonesia, Celebrates Its Second Graduation, Preparing Leaders for Golden Indonesia 2045

Dr. Megan Clark AC, Chancellor Monash University, delivered the opening speech at the graduation ceremony of Monash University, Indonesia.
Jakarta – Monash University, Indonesia, the first foreign university in the country, is celebrating its second graduation with a larger and more diverse group of graduates.
Today’s event, which was held at the Fairmont Hotel Jakarta, marks the academic achievements of 56 graduates who are ready to make significant contributions towards addressing various challenges in achieving the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
A total of 48 Monash University, Indonesia students graduated, having completed programs in Master of Business Innovation, Master of Data Science, Master of Public Policy and Management and Master of Urban Design. Additionally, eight students from Monash University, Malaysia and Monash University, Australia also participated in the ceremony.
Representatives from the government, industry leaders and international organizations joined families and friends for the graduation.

Professor Craig Jeffrey, Deputy Vice Chancellor (International) and Senior Vice President of Monash University, praised graduates for their hard work and dedication.

Graduating from industry-relevant master's programs, Monash University, Indonesia graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge to remain relevant in a constantly evolving industrial landscape, positioning them at the forefront of Indonesia's progress and development. This also addresses challenges highlighted in PwC’s Asia Pacific Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey 2024, which reveals that half of the global workforce, including Indonesia, is vulnerable to changes due to rapid technological advancements like artificial intelligence (AI).
