Jakarta, 11 March 2025 – Monash University, Indonesia successfully hosted the B2B Iftar Gathering at The Westin Hotel Jakarta, bringing together distinguished industry professionals, government, state of enterprise (SOE), the association representatives also the academics under the theme "Harmony in Diversity: Leveraging Collaboration for a Better Indonesia."

The gathering emphasized the significance of collaboration across industries and sectors, recognizing that diverse perspectives and joint efforts can drive positive transformation for Indonesia's economic and social landscape.

The event was opened by a welcoming keynote speech by Monash University, Indonesia Pro Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Matthew Nicholson. Followed by a sharing session with guest speaker Habib Husein Ja’far.

The sharing session discussed the role of religious diversity in fostering mutual understanding, inspiring collective solutions, and driving impactful social and environmental change. Habib Ja’far addressed the importance of inclusivity and interfaith dialogue in building a harmonious society while maintaining a strong business and governance ecosystem.

The event was attended by more than 50 partners from various private corporations and industries, including finance, energy, FMCG, property, and healthcare, as well as representatives from government agencies and state-owned enterprises (SOEs). The event was closed with breaking the fast together and networking between our academics and professional staff as well as fellow industry partners.

Tesla Wardoyo, Formal Education Manager of PLN conveyed her excitement attending the event, “The session was very interesting and the sharing (from Habib Ja’far) was also informative, a lot of insights can be gathered about tolerance and how we treat each other in everyday settings.”
