Monash University, Indonesia, Promoting Youth Empowerment Through Skill Enhancement and Networking Opportunities
South Tangerang - Monash University, Indonesia, will host an Open Day to showcase its range of Master's programs. These programs aim to increase the number of highly skilled young professionals by offering a world-class curriculum, extensive professional networks, and industry-relevant skills.
The Open Day aims to boost optimism in addressing job access and opportunities for young people, specifically, Gen Z. The National Labour Force Survey (Sakernas) of August 2023 or Survei Angkatan Kerja Nasional (Sakernas) Agustus 2023 highlights that Gen Z, 15-24 years old, is the most susceptible to unemployment, accounting for 19.4% of the nearly 7.2 million unemployed individuals in Indonesia. A key issue is that the skills and curricula taught do not match market demands, making it challenging for graduates to find employment.
Recognizing this dilemma, Monash University, Indonesia, is dedicated to providing a robust foundation of knowledge and practical skills to ensure its graduates stand out in the competitive job market. The university offers a comprehensive curriculum which balances academic learning with industry-relevant upskilling. This continuous effort aims to equip students with the necessary skills and professionalism for success, aligning with the government's vision of a Golden Indonesia by 2045.
As a tangible commitment, Monash University, Indonesia, fosters a learning environment that equips students with the skills and experience demanded by employers. This includes fieldwork, internships, and networking with industry leaders. The university currently offers eight Master's programs, built on over 60 years of teaching and research excellence. These programs, meticulously designed to support the growth of Indonesia's future leaders, include:
- Master of Public Policy and Management
