HR Gathering 2024: The Importance of Cybersecurity Awareness and Data Governance for Organisations

South Tangerang - Monash University, Indonesia hosted HR Gathering event, drawing approximately 70 professionals from diverse sectors on Thursday, 19 September 2024. The event, centered on the theme "Managing Digital Governance and Threats in a Rapidly Changing Environment," brought together HR and IT experts from industries spanning finance, banking, energy, FMCG, technology, and property.
The event kicked off with a welcoming speech from Ibu Tantia Dian Permata Indah, COO and Vice President (Operations and Enterprise) of Monash University, Indonesia. She emphasised the critical need for HR and IT collaboration in managing digital risks and driving innovation.
“The world is evolving at a pace we have never experienced before. Businesses are under increasing pressure to adapt to technological advancements, regulatory changes, and shifting market dynamics. The main agenda of the gathering featured two parallel talk shows, each addressing critical aspects of HR and IT in the digital age. The first talk show, "HR as a Strategic Partner in Digital Transformation: Building the Skills of Tomorrow," featured insights from Ibu Jessyca Sentosa, Head of Corporate HR, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk and Ibu Yenni Alemina, Dean Digital Banking & IT Academy, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero), Tbk. Moderated by Dr. Muhamad Erza Aminanto, the discussion delved into strategies for developing future-ready HR teams and navigating the complexities of digital transformation. They also emphasised the importance of data-driven HR practices, agile policies, and strong collaboration with IT departments.

The second talk show, "Artificial Intelligence Leverage and Data Governance for Securing Enterprise Networks," brought together Bapak Agustinus Nicholas Tobing, Security Assurance Country Lead, Amazon Web Services and Ibu Sri Safitri, Group Corporate Transformation Leader, PT Telkom Indonesia, Tbk. Moderated by Dr. Arif Perdana, this session explored the intersection of AI, data governance, and cybersecurity, providing attendees with practical insights for securing their organisations in the digital age.
