Eastern Health Library Service

Eastern Health Library Service is independent of Monash University Library and the two library services work in cooperation. In addition to hospital staff, the library contributes to the learning, teaching and research activities of staff and students based within Eastern Health.

Borrowing from Eastern Health Library Service

Only site-based Monash staff and students can borrow from this Library. To borrow, you need a current Monash University staff or student ID card and to register at the Eastern Health Library service desk before borrowing.

Due to part-time staffing, Angliss Hospital and Peter James Centre site libraries are not lending libraries. Students need to borrow from either Box Hill or Maroondah site libraries.

Within the Eastern Health Library collection there are some Monash Library books for Monash student use. They can be found in Search and may be available for loan through the Loan requests function. Requested items can be picked up at a Monash University branch library or at The Ian Potter Library (Alfred Hospital). Restrictions apply, for example most textbooks are not available for intercampus loan.

Eastern Health Library has its own collection and loans system which means that the loan status (ie availability) shown in Search may not be accurate and the item may not be available on the shelves.

Photocopying at Eastern Health Library

Cash only. Copying is 15c per copy at Box Hill and 10c per copy at Maroondah. Limited change is available.
