Meet and mingle

To help you make friends and connect, we've designed a new program of regular events like movie nights and craft-a-noons. We call them our 'Meet and Mingle' sessions, and they are all hosted by us.

      Visit the Peninsula Library this R U OK? Day and spend some time with therapy dogs. Take a moment to check in with your mental health, connect with others, and enjoy an afternoon with some friendly canine companions.

      Caulfield Library runs free movie nights during the semester, usually on the first Tuesday of each month. Take some time out, bring a friend and enjoy a movie with us.

      Crochet Crew

      Starting in Week 1 of Semester 2, join us for our weekly crochet sessions. We provide all materials – yarn, wool, hooks, needles and more. Open to all skill levels (including beginners)! You’re also welcome to bring your own project and enjoy yarning in good company.

      Unleash your creativity and connect with other students while exploring different drawing techniques. Join the MSA Art Committee’s weekly drawing sessions in the Law Library. Please bring your own pen and paper.

      Starting in Week 1 of Semester 1, join us weekly for a relaxing hour of crafting and conversation! Each session features different skills and materials, from beaded bracelet-making to air dry clay. Beginners and seasoned crafters welcome!

      Stitch Society

      Learn a new skill or build your confidence with knitting, crochet and other DIY projects like phone charms and bracelets. Our Stitch Society sessions run every week throughout the semester, through SWOT VAC and until the end of exams.

      Starting in Week 1 of Semester 1, drop in for a board game or two at the Matheson Library! We’ve got familiar favourites like Scrabble and UNO, plus some fun new games to challenge you.
