Professor Niels Buus
PhD, MN, BN
Niels is a mental health nurse with a keen interest in developing collaborative approaches to supporting families and communities. He is also interested in the practical organisation of nurses’ work, e.g. record keeping and shift-report (hand-over) practices.
Niels is a specialist in qualitative research and qualitative research methodology, and he is particularly interested in critical health research and ethnographic theories and methods.
Niels is leading an international research group exploring the adoption, implementation, and practices of Open Dialogue and similar systemic approaches to psychotherapies. He is currently finalising a three-year Open Dialogue training course.
