Masters program
The Master of Advanced Clinical Nursing (MACN) and Master of Advanced Nursing (MAN) allows students to choose the research pathway to undertake their own research project.
Research is the foundation of evidence-based nursing practice. As leaders in clinical practice, education or management, Master's-prepared nurses have the skills to effectively consume, produce and apply research knowledge to ensure that practice is based on appropriate and critiqued evidence.
In the research pathway, students integrate and apply their research methods’ knowledge to a nursing or midwifery problem or issue. Consultation with the MACN/MAN research stream coordinator is required prior to enrolment in the research pathway.
Completion of a research pathway within the MACN/MAN gives students important foundational research skills and is a pathway to a Graduate research degree.
