Our mental health course has been developed using a co-design approach where consumers and carers with a lived experience have partnered with mental health nursing academics to develop the unit and teaching and learning resources.
Our course adopts a blended learning approach, which allows you to engage in your learning online and participate in tutorial and/or simulation classes. We offer a flexible approach to attendance for tutorial and/or simulation classes.

Should you wish to undertake further study and progress toward a higher qualification, pathways exist for you to continue your education in a Master of Advanced Clinical Nursing. Further information is available in the course handbook.
The four core mental health units will take one year of full-time study to complete.
Should you wish to proceed to further study beyond the Graduate Diploma of advanced clinical nursing, further information to identify course duration is available in the course handbook.
Hours per week depends on whether the unit is a 6 credit point or 12 credit unit. Total number of hours for a 6 credit point unit is approximately 144 hours across the semester and for a 12 credit point unit is approximately 288 hours across the semester.
