The School of Primary and Allied Health Care’s leadership and administration team is based at Peninsula campus. Our Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Paramedicine degrees are also offered at this campus.
The Mornington Peninsula region is important to the future of Monash and the Peninsula campus is part of a vibrant, integrated health and education precinct, providing excellent education to our students and undertaking cutting edge research with our partners and strong links to industry and the community.
Our collaboration with top industry leaders is what makes us stand out. We continue to come up with new ways to deepen our knowledge and benefit the community. Our industry and community partnerships keep us in step with the changing needs and emerging trends in the region, producing tangible outcomes that change lives.
The nature of our partnerships reflects the broad nature of our community involvement.
We have strong education and research partnerships with numerous health, care, and support service providers. This has led to numerous national health and medical research council grants, fellowships, and partnership projects with the School.
The Peninsula campus research agenda encourages inter-disciplinary collaboration and aims for stronger ties with industry partners, health providers and other stakeholders across the local region as well as further afield.
Over the next five years, the campus will evolve even more, integrating more deeply with the local community, with extensive links to healthcare providers and local businesses, providing a practical edge to our courses. Future plans include establishing Monash Peninsula as Australia’s leading centre of allied health and primary care education and research, building on existing strengths in emergency medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and nursing. Over $20 million is planned to be invested in upgrading and enhancing the campus further. The campus now holds a 150 room residential complex, providing students with a range of modern, high-quality and sustainable residential spaces.
