The NCHA Multipurpose Research Facility provides a wide array of research and educational endeavours.
Its capabilities enable the comprehensive examination of the physical performance of elderly individuals across various functional activities. Additionally, it serves as a platform for the development of cutting-edge educational and training materials within simulated health and aged care environments.
The Multipurpose Research Facility was funded by the National Centre for Healthy Ageing (NCHA), Australia's leading integrated healthcare research, development and implementation hub focused on healthy ageing.

The facility is a combination of three main areas

Movement Analysis Laboratory
The movement lab is a specialised facility designed to study and assess human movement. Using advanced technology like motion capture systems, force plates, pressure insoles, and a pressure mat, the lab analyses movement in real time.
Broadcasting Studio
The advanced recording studio at our university serves as a cutting-edge facility for educational and research initiatives across all disciplines, with a special focus on healthy aging. Equipped with a large curved screen, the studio offers an immersive visual experience that enhances learning and collaboration.
Simulated lab
The advanced simulated lab represents a transformative step in integrating mixed reality and virtual reality technologies into research and education. This innovative space empowers researchers, educators, and students to engage in immersive environments that elevate their learning experiences to unprecedented levels.
