Translation Projects for Changwon National Museum
Monash Korean Studies received an amazing opportunity to collaborate with Changwon National Museum on two translation projects. Our students were given the opportunity to showcase their linguistic skills and received recognition for their translation work. Nine students (former and current students) from Korean Studies worked on the following translation projects:
1. 관부재판과 끝나지 않은 HERSTORY:

(Access the English translation here)
Students: Lauren O'Loughlin (Project lead), Catherine Xu, Grace Burke, Joshua Beltran
2. Untold Story, Inscribed Memory (Stories about Korean Immigration to Hawaii):
(Access the English translation here)
Students: Lauren O'Loughlin (Project lead), Anthony Kourakis, Gabrielle Ashley Lumenta, Giang Dam, Inha Hwang, Ridmi Perera
These translation projects were led by Lauren O’Loughlin, a former student of Monash Korean Studies who is currently completing her Master's in Translation and Interpreting Studies.
Congratulations to Korean Studies students for successfully completing the translation projects. Monash University Korean Studies would like to thank Professor Kyounghee Moon at Changwon National University for the translation opportunity.
We look forward to more opportunities for our students to work on similar projects in the future.
