About Monash in Indonesia
Monash University, Indonesia is the first international, foreign-owned university with an in-country campus.
Operating with the full support of both the Indonesian and Australian governments, Monash's Indonesian campus plays a key regional role in fostering research collaborations and partnerships with the Indonesian academic community., advanced professional development for graduates, and commercial opportunities for industry.
Monash University, Indonesia offers Bachelor’s (S1), Master’s (S2), and Doctoral (PhD/S3) programs, all accredited in Australia through TEQSA and recognised by Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. In addition, we provide executive programs and micro-credentials that address high-demand fields and future sustainability priorities, including public policy and management, marketing and digital communications, business innovation, global business, data science, cybersecurity, urban design, public health, and sustainability.
Expanding our global network
Indonesia is a key partner for Australia and the University. The campus, part of Monash University’s international network of campuses, strengthens existing ties between the two nations. With a campus in greater Jakarta, the economic heart of the region, Monash makes even stronger and deeper connections across our dynamic network of teaching locations in Prato, Malaysia, Suzhou and Mumbai.
Establishing an Indonesian campus builds on a long and proud relationship, where Monash has graduated more Indonesian citizens than any other university outside Indonesia. Our alumni network is highly engaged through the foundational work of our Monash Indonesia Representative Office (MIRO) over many years. The well-established Monash Herb Feith Indonesian Engagement Centre for Monash researchers engaging with Indonesia provides a platform for developing strong relationships and collaborations.

Our contribution to Indonesia
Established in 2020, Monash University, Indonesia has provided scholarships to all corners of Indonesia. We also collaborate with LPDP and AAI to provide opportunities for Indonesian people to obtain international standard higher education.
Globally, over 10,000 students from Indonesia have graduated from Monash, creating a large, rich and diverse alumni community that’s spread across the archipelago.
More specifically, the Monash University, Indonesia always try to provide international exposure to students through innovative programs such as Australia Leadership program and MPPM study tour.
In addition, as an our commitment in building Impact 2030. Monash has worked with local Indonesian communities on key partnerships and significant research, including
the Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments (RISE) program and the World Mosquito Program.
