Monash University, Indonesia, and BTN collaborate to strengthen human resource capacity and making indonesia home of the best talent

Jakarta, Nov 16, 2023 - Monash University, Indonesia, and PT Bank Tabungan Negara BTN have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to embark on a transformative journey in enhancing the capabilities of the state-owned bank company's employees, empowering them to navigate their objective to become The Best Mortgage Bank in South East Asia 2025. Taking place at the Monash University, Indonesia campus, the signing of the MoU agreed on the design of a capacity-building program through various initiatives relevant to Business Innovation, Finance, Cyber Security and Data Science, including a particular payment scheme for formal education as well as joint research and implementation of training programs according to BTN's needs. This holistic approach will include short courses, seminars, conferences, workshops, benchmarks, and many others.

Professor Andrew MacIntyre, President of Monash University, Indonesia, said that his party fully supports the spirit of this collaboration and underlined the university's dedication to driving change in the education sectors. "We believe that this collaboration has the potential to create a positive and lasting impact especially for BTN. We are committed to making this collaboration a continuous and beneficial framework," stressed Prof Andrew.

BTN has identified formal education as a focal point and strategic foundation in preparation for their objective to become the best mortgage bank in southeast asia in 2025. BTN starts this action by determining which areas need division and sub-holding development, then prioritizes what the company needs to explore. Therefore, both parties hope that the MoU will become a precious resource for BTN, especially in honing local human resources as well as creating shared value with Monash University, Indonesia.
2023 is the first year BTN employees embark on a transformative educational journey, with 2 employees enrolled at Monash University, Indonesia. Both of them are pursuing master in business innovation and master in data science. The objective is that the students have to study cutting-edge business strategies and innovation practices, while delving into the world of data analysis and data-driven decision-making. This program will expand its academic reach in 2024, allowing BTN employees to study at Monash University in Indonesia and Australia.
