Master of Data Science (C6009) View

Our Master of Data Science is a technical program, but we welcome students from various levels of experience, starting from budding professionals to VP/Head level, even if they are not from a cognate background. There are no prerequisites in terms of business or information technology (IT) understanding, as we provide foundational knowledge and skills in IT during the first two terms to ensure all students can effectively engage with the course material.

Our curriculum has been developed by Monash Australia, ensuring a comprehensive and industry-relevant education. We have already undertaken projects with industry leaders such as Tokopedia, Indonesia's largest e-commerce platform.

During the course, students can expect to delve into topics and themes such as data analysis, data visualisation, big data modelling, and machine learning. These skills are versatile and can be applied to various domains and areas, providing students with a solid foundation to excel as data professionals in both private and public sectors.

Master of Urban Design (F6006) View

The Master of Urban Design program is designed for individuals who possess design skills and experience and are interested in expanding their knowledge of urban design. This degree is ideal for professionals working in government agencies, architectural firms specialising in urban design, and urban enthusiasts. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including sustainability, smart cities, and urban policy, to equip graduates with the skills and expertise needed for successful careers in the field. With a focus on practical application and real-world projects, students will develop the necessary skills to address complex urban design challenges.

With over half of the world's population already living in urban areas and this number projected to increase to two-thirds by 2050, pursuing a Master's degree in Urban Design has never been more crucial. This global trend underscores the demand for skilled urban designers who can create sustainable and livable cities for future generations. In Indonesia, rapid urbanisation and population growth pose unique challenges that necessitate innovative solutions from trained urban designers.

To enrol in the urban design program, applicants should have an Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as architecture or landscape architecture. Additionally, a Design Project Portfolio showcasing excellent design and visual communication skills, proficiency in computer-aided design software, and computer literacy is required.

During the course, students can expect to explore various topics such as urban policy, climate change adaptation and resilience, ecosystem services, nature-based solutions, urban design theory and its implications, transport planning, smart cities, and climate change. They will also develop skills in GIS mapping, R-Studio, design thinking, and system thinking, among others, enabling them to tackle urban design challenges effectively.

Master of Business Innovation (B6027) View

The Master of Business Innovation (MBI) program at Monash University, Indonesia is designed for experienced professionals looking to enhance their management and innovation skills to drive business performance.
The program is ideal for individuals who are eager to exchange practical and theoretical perspectives, actively participate in the learning process, and integrate their professional experiences with theoretical frameworks. With a minimum of two years of working experience, applicants are hungry for knowledge co-creation in a classroom setting.

With an average age of 30 and 5-10 years of work experience, current MBI students are well-positioned to create positive impacts and contribute to the nation's economy.

Monash has launched a world-first business research center in the Pacific, climbed in global rankings, and received recognition for its global executive program. Additionally, we collaborate with important industry players, such as Kalbe, to strengthen leadership capacities.

Throughout the course, students can expect to engage with a wide range of topics and themes that are essential for driving innovation in business. The program is divided into three parts: Foundation skills and knowledge (Part A), application and implementation (Part B), and mastering innovation (Part C).
