Camelia Harahap is the Head of Arts and Creative Industries at British Council Indonesia.

An outstanding alumna from Monash University Malaysia, Ms Harahap completed her Bachelor of Communication in 2009 and her Master of International Business in 2011. While pursuing her academic qualifications, Ms Harahap served as an international contributor to publications across Indonesia and the Southeast Asian region.

After graduating, Ms Harahap quickly rose through the ranks of the Arts and Creative Economy division of British Council Indonesia. Beginning as a program officer, Ms Harahap secured a role as senior program manager (showcasing) within just six years – testament to her skill at nurturing relationships between artists, practitioners and stakeholders in the United Kingdom and Indonesian arts and creative industries. This talent was recognised with her appointment as Head of Arts and Creative Industries in 2019.

In 2018, Ms Harahap extended her portfolio by becoming Director at PT Kasane Internasional Kreatif, a creative consultancy in the field of fashion business and retail, creative and cultural products, and education development.
