Program Overview

The Monash Innovation Guarantee Postgraduate (MIG-P) program is offered at Monash University, Australia. As a student at Monash University, Indonesia, you now have the unique opportunity to travel to Australia and participate in this transformative experience while paying the usual tuition fees at Monash University, Indonesia.

By joining this program, you will work in a small team to develop a purpose-driven solution to a real-world challenge set by an industry partner—ranging from commercial or social enterprises, government or UN agencies, to start-up companies. You can even select the specific industry challenge that aligns with your career goals and personal values.

Throughout the program, you will be coached through an innovation process used by the world’s leading companies. Your team will apply your disciplinary expertise to design an innovative solution. You will receive regular feedback through presentations, industry check-ins, progress updates, and guidance from your coach to support the development of your solution.

You will gain hands-on experience in applying your knowledge and skills in conjunction with proven innovation processes, preparing you to tackle real-world issues and make a meaningful impact in your industry.

- Credit Points: 6 credit points
- Assessment: Project work and presentations
MIG-P is open to eligible master’s programs at Monash University, Indonesia. You can enrol in the MIG unit (MON5750) and begin your industry project in June 2025 if you meet the following criteria:
- Are enrolled in an eligible degree
- Have completed at least 24 credit points of study
- Have at least 6 elective credit points available
Eligible master’s programs for participation in the 2025 MIG-P are as follows:
- Master of Public Policy and Management
- Master of Global Business
- Master of Marketing and Digital Communications
- Master of Urban Design
- Master of Cybersecurity
If you meet these requirements, you can enrol in MIG-P via WES. For eligibility verification or to check your course progression, please contact the Student Service team.
1. Let us know you are interested!
Indicate your interest on this form. Our student services team will review your eligibility for MIG-P, offer guidance on your study plan, and outline the required administrative processes. Be sure to send the EOI by the deadline: 31 January 2025 for departure in July 2025.
2. Enrol for the Unit
Use the unit code MON5750 to enrol directly in the MIG Postgraduate unit. No further applications or interviews are necessary. Simply enrol via WES.
3. Apply for Your Visa
You are responsible for applying for the appropriate visa. The Student Services at Monash University, Indonesia will recommend visa agencies to assist you with this process and provide the necessary supporting documents.
4. Purchase Relevant Travel Insurance
The Student Services at Monash University, Indonesia will provide details on the required travel insurance for your trip.
5. Attend Pre-Departure Briefing
The final step is to attend the pre-departure briefing, organised by the Student Experience team. To further prepare for your studies in Australia, we encourage you to read the Monash Abroad Survival Kit.
