Program overview

The Monash English Program is the perfect pathway to pursue a Monash University, Indonesia bachelor's or master’s program. If you have met the academic requirements for a Monash degree but narrowly missed the English language requirements, this program is designed to help you develop the essential language and academic skills needed for your studies.

By successfully completing the Monash English Program, you will gain direct entry and a guaranteed place into a Monash University, Indonesia bachelor's or master’s degree¹ without the need to take an additional IELTS² test.

As a Monash English student, you will develop the specialised academic skills required to prepare you for your Monash University Indonesia program. The curriculum is specifically tailored to fit the Monash learning model, helping you to:

  • Communicate effectively in academic discussions and presentations.
  • Improve your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
  • Improve your writing, reading and listening skills.
  • Understand, apply and explain theories in your degree program.
  • Write summaries and short reports in an academic style.
  • Understand and use academic conventions.
  • Learn how to respond to feedback.
  • Become a self-directed learner.

Program delivery The program will be delivered online through the Monash College Virtual Classroom by a Monash College teacher.
Duration 12 weeks in total. Approximately 14 hours distributed across each week - out of office hours, including Saturday, to meet the needs of working professionals.
