Matheson Library temporary closure over summer 2025/26

The Matheson Library on Clayton campus will be temporarily closed from Wednesday 24 December 2025 with reopening scheduled on Monday 23 February 2026, to allow for essential roof replacement works.

This closure includes the Matheson Gallery, Swift’s Cafe and access to collections and related services.

During the temporary closure, staff and students are encouraged to use the following alternative on-campus spaces:

Libraries:

• Hargrave-Andrew Library
  • Open and accessible during its usual operating hours
• Law Library
  • Extended hours from Monday 5 January to Sunday 22 February
  • Monday to Friday: 8am - 6pm
  • Saturday to Sunday: 1pm - 5pm

Study spaces (open until midnight, Monday to Friday): 

• Technology and Design Building
  • Monday to Friday: Open from 7am until midnight
  • Weekends: Open from 10am until 6pm
• Learning and Teaching Building (LTB)
  • Monday to Friday: Extended hours from 6am (swipe access) until midnight
  • Weekends: Open from 10am until 5pm

24/7 study space:

• Campbell Hall (ground floor) will be available for round-the-clock 24/7 access
  • Located at 21 Sports Walk (opposite Sharetea near the Campus Centre).
